The Plains Of Abraham, Quebec

The Plains of Abraham is a historic area within the Battlefields Park in Quebec. It was originally a grazing land, it became famous only after the Battle of the Plains of Abraham, which took place in 1759. This park is used for about four million visitors and tourists annually for festivals, outdoor concerts, relaxation and for sports.

The plains are named after a fisherman and river pilot The Scot, whose name was Abraham Martin. He and his wife moved to Quebec City in 1635 and received 32 acres of land from the company of New France.
