Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, Vancouver, Canada



Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is most popular tourist attraction in Vancouver in Canada. It was built in 1889, and it stretches 450 feet across and 230 ft above Capilano River. It is a private place with an entry fee. And, it attracts around 800.000 visitors every year.
It was earlier made of hemp ropes with deck of cedar planks and nowadays replaced with wire cable bridge. In 1956 it was rebuilt. With different owners from time to time it was finally purchased by current owner Nancy Stibbard in 1983.In May 2004 new adventure was opened that is Treetops Adventures. This treetops consist of seven footbridges forming walkways up to 98 ft above the forest floor.
