The Montreal Botanical Garden



The Montreal Botanical Garden is a large garden in Montreal, Quebec. This garden spreads over 76 hectares of land with thematic garden and greenhouses. It is one of the most important botanical gardens in the world. It was designated as a National Historic site of Canada in year 2008. 

There is a greenhouse complex that displays plants from around the world. It consists of large number of outdoor gardens with different themes. It was founded by mayor Camillien Houde and designed by Henry Teuscher. Its main motto is to educate the students of horticulture and public in general. It serves to conserve endangered plant species. This garden also conducts many botanical researches in the botanical research institution.
