Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario,Canada


Algonquin Provincial Park is located in Central Ontario. It was established in 1893, and oldest park in Canada. It is of 7,654 sq Km, large protected area. This park contains 2400 lakes and 1200 km of rivers and streams.This park is a unique mixture of many forest types and a variety of environments. For wildlife research this park play important role.It was declared National Historic Site of Canada in 1992. It has several heritage values like , its role in development of park management, its role in inspiring famous artists, pioneering visitors, and historic structures such as cottages, camps, entrance gates, hotels, lodges, railway station, museum, etc.
