The Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto


The Hockey Hall of Fame is in Toronto. It is dedicated to the history of ice hockey. It is museum as well as hall of fame. It holds exhibits of teams, players, hockey leagues records, trophies, etc. It was found in Kingston and was established in 1943 under the supervision of James T. Sutherland. In 1958, after the NHL (National Hockey League) withdrew its support in Kingston, it moved to Toronto.

The Hockey Hall of Fame has fifteen exhibit areas. Visitors can see trophies and equipment used during special games. The Esso Great Hall that exhibits portraits and Biographical information regarding Hall of Fame members. This Hall is also described as “a Cathedral to icons of Hockey”.
