Quebec city, Quebec

Quebec is the capital of Quebec province of Canada. It has population of 517,000 people living in this city making it the 2nd most populous city after Montreal. It is located in the valley named Saint Lawrence River. This region is flat and low-lying. This valley is rich with fertile soil, which makes this region fertile in the province.

Quebec City has an experience of four seasons. Summers are hot and warm with high humidity with average temperature of 22-25 C and Winters are snowy, cold and windy with average temperature of -5 to -8 C. In winter snow stays from December to April.

This city has thirty-five districts in 6 boroughs. Most of the population speaks French . Their mother tongue is and other language they know is English.

Unemployment rate of the city was 4.5%. Most of the job are in defence, commerce, tourism and transport. The CHUQ the local hospital network is the largest employer in the city with 10,000 employees working in it.

This city is best known for its Winter Carnival, Saint-jean-Baptiste Day and summer music festival and many other celebrations. This is the place of carnivals and festivals that is why people given it a second position in the list of 20 tourist places in Canada.

Its flora and fauna also attracts the attention. One of the famous Indo-Australian greenhouse is the best example of this. Montmorency Falls, Ice hotel, and the Mont-Sainte-Anne ski resorts are some of the places near Quebec city to look at.

There are another historic sites to visit in the city, and museums, art galleries are also of rich heritage.

It is not only the most fascinating city in the country , but also most romantic city. There is number one street in the country to visit. This Street is lined with typical flower boxes and Parisian-style lamp posts that will surprise visitors .One should go there to enjoy life in its full bloom and visit beautiful places.
