Fogo Island, Newfoundland and Labrador

Fogo Island is largest in the Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. This Island is about 14km wide and 25 km long with total area of 237,71 km square. It has population of 2700 people. Earlier only fisherman used to visit this Island, but there was no permanent settlements, but in 18th century Fogo Harbour and Tilting Harbour were first to settle on the Island.

Fogo Island is home for the community Fogo. They celebrate One of the famous festival, Brimstone Head Folk Festival. This festival attracts tourists from all over the world. It starts in early August and performance are of many bands like The Irish Descendants, The Fogo Island Accordion Group, Middle tickle, Shores of Newfoundland, The Masterless Men, The Affections and many other performers.

One of the main tourism attraction is Fogo Island Inn, its stunning architecture, crafted furniture and textiles along with beautiful scenery, world-class hiking and other such amazing things are great source of attraction.

Natural beauty is its first quality. Everywhere there is nature-viewing thrills like iceberg, whales and puffins around the Island.

One must visit this Island for portray its beauty and traditions.
